Long ago, the kingdom of Dholakpur had a good old minister. He was very wise and loyal to the king.
The minister had three young sons. All three of them were also very clever and wise.
One day the minister told the king, "Your Highness, I think it is time for me to retire."
At first, the king was very upset but later he told the minister, "All right, my dear friend. But let me choose one of your sons to succeed you. Shall I choose the eldest one? What do you say?"
The minister replied, "Your Highness. I suggest that we conduct a test and then appoint the winner as the minister."
The King agreed to the minister's suggestion.
The minister then called his three sons and said, "Listen my dear sons, the king wants to appoint a new minister amongst the three of you. But you have to pass a test. You have to pluck a rose from the royal garden. But there is a condition that the flower should be plucked at night without any lamp or lantern on a No Moon Day without being hurt by any thorn on the rose flower. The one who succeeds this test shall be appointed as the Minister of Dholakpur."
The minister's sons were puzzled but at the same time they did not want to miss this opportunity.

The youngest of the sons had a rose in his room from before and used that one on a no moon night and got the place of the minister of Dholakpur.
One of them was very intelligent. He went to the garden and he did not touch the stem and plucked a rose.
The two elder sons were disappointed and they did not take part in the test. The youngest son was very intelligent and he went to the Royal garden on the previous day and msde a survey as to where the roses are on the plant and looming towards the land. He went on the at night without any lamp or lantern on a No moon night and he plucked the rose flower without being hurt by any thorn. He succeded in the test and was appointed as the new minister in Dholakpur.
Yes, the youngest one.
None of the minister's sons succeeded and dholakpur had to continue with the same old minister.
On a no moon night the minister's sons went to the royal garden. First son went ahead but a thorn pricked him. Second son cheated the king by keeping a torch in his pocket but,the king found it. The third son, without cheating prayed god and went towards the rose plant. Luckily he succeeded and became the minister of Dholakpur.
When they went for the roses they all were very confident. But we say that over confidence is not good. So no one got the opportunity of minister.
The eldest son went to the garden in the morning and had a good look of the rose flower in the garden and came back in the night to pluck the rose. However in the morning when he saw the flower he had plucked it turn out to be some other flower. Similarly the second brother went to the garden and marked the place with stone near the rose flower, but when he went to the garden in the night he was unable to locate the site he had marked, he too plucked the wrong flower. Now the youngest brother learnt from the mistakes of his brothers and waited till night and he rightly plucked the rose flower and showed to his father.
There were three more days before it became a no-moon night. There were only three rose plants and only one rose had grown on each of them. The king's three sons thought and thought. The eldest son decided to cut the rose plant with a scissor. The second son decided to take a flashlight and use it without anybody seeing it. The youngest son had a good idea. After three more days the no-moon night came. All the three sons were excited. The minister and the king also came. On seeing this the second son got scared, after all he was not obeying the rules by bringing a flashlight. The minister asked the king's eldest son "what is your idea?". The eldest son told him. The minister did not look pleased. Next, the second son lied that he was going to have his hand wrapped up in a thick quilt and pluck the rose. The youngest son explained his idea. "I decided to dig the soil and take the rose plant with the roots." The Minister looked pleased at last. He told the king "My Youngest son will be your next minister." The king asked the reason. The Minister replied "My eldest son was about to cut the rose plant with the scissors. That is almost like harming it. My second son lied. When I looked at his pockets, something was bulging out. I peeped closely and I saw a flashlight. But my youngest son dug up the soil with the roots, which would mean that if any problem came along, he would handle it wisely without hurting anyone's feelings." The king looked surprised. The king said " I thought that in every kingdom only the eldest son would become the prime minister but that was not true." And the king honoured the youngest son by making him the prime minister.
On a no moon day all of them rushed towards the garden to pluck the rose. The eldest two try to pluck the rose but they were hurt by the thorns. The youngest one comes to the room of the princes and bring her to the court. To see it all of them were surprised. The king was very angry and shouted to the youngest as what he was doing. The youngest explained that from the time immemorable girls are described as flowers and rose is the symbol of love. Now he was fell in love with the princes so the princes is the rose . The king was so pleased to his wisdom. He was appointed as the minister and given the princes and live happily in the Dholakpur.
On the next no moon night all the three sons went to the royal garden one by one. The elder brother went there and even after searching for hours he could not even not find the rose bush. Then the second son went. He recognised the bush but he hurt himself with the thorn. Then came the turn of the youngest son who was very smart. He went into the royal garden with a rose with him and returned with the same and due to his witty nature and ability to solve the complicated problems was appointed as the minister of Dholakpur.
Amongst three, one son of the minister was blind. It did not matter for him whether it was day or night. So he could get the rose easily and according to the plan he was chosen as the new minister.
The one of them used a candle which was not in the conditions given and Dholakpur got their new minister.
The minister also told them that they should not be caught while plucking by the guards. All of them wore leather gloves. The first son was strong, the second son was clever and the third son was weak. The first son plucked the rose, pushed the guards and ran away. The second son plucked the rose, jumped into the pond and escaped from the other side. The third son plucked the rose and he was caught by the guards. The first and the second son succeeded and they became the new ministers of Dholakpur.
The problem aggravated when all three brought the rose without any injury. They all were appointed as ministers and were said to look after three different areas.
Amongst the three sons of the minister, one was blind. As there is no day or night for the blind one, he could pass the test easily and was appointed as the minister.
The First son went but he couldnt find the rose in the garden as it was very dark. The second son went but he was hurt by a thorn. The last son was very intelligent and had put white pebbles in the path which leads to the rose plant and when it was night it glowed well and he went to the rose plant and plucked the rose. He was appointed as the new minister.
The minister's sons attempted to try the test. THEY EACH WENT TO A ROSE FLOWER AT NIGHT TO PLUCK IT. THE YOUNGEST SON SUCCEEDED IN THE TEST BECAUSE HE HAD TRUST IN HIMSELF. HIS TRICK WAS THAT HE HAD GONE TO THE FLOWER IN THE MORNING AND DID KNOW WHERE THE THORNS WERE SITUATED ON THE STEM.IN THE NIGHT HE JUST SPREAD HIS HAND DELICATELY WITHOUT BEING HURT.THEN HE PLACED HIS FINGERS WHERE THE THORN WAS NOT THERE.IN THIS WAY HE PASSED THE TEST AND BECAME THE CLEVER AND JUST MINISTER OF DHOLAKPUR. MORAL: PRESENCE OF MIND ALWAYS WORKS.
The youngest son succeeded.
Myna should help Mr ant because she is the friend of mr ant and knows the value of friendship.
It is so difficult to the three of them to pluck the rose without thorns and with ut lamp so I think the three sons of the minister could not pass the test.
The youngest son holds the flower by the petals and with a knife cuts it off from the plant.
The minister's son who is wise will ask his friend to carry the lamp and pluck the flower.
The minister's sons asked three days time for preparation & permission to go to the royal garden. The permission was granted to them. They went there and inspected the place carefully. On the third day the king with others & the three sons were present near the gate of the royal garden. In the night the eldest son was asked to go first. He entered the royal garden & as he entered he tookout a netted bag from inside his jacket. The bag was throwing light on the path. He went & plucked the rose. He returned back with the rose & near the gate he opened the bag. Fireflies flew away from the bag. The second son was sent for the rose. He entered the garden & slowly went on & on. He also plucked the rose & came back slowly. He gave the rose to the king. Now the third son entered the garden with a dog. He took out something & let the dog smell it. The dog started smelling the ground & moving in the direction of garden. The third son also plucked the rose. He again took something & again let the dog smell it. Again the dog started smelling the ground and moved towards outside the garden. The third son gave the rose to the King. The king then discussed with his minister & both agreed on appointing the second son as minister. As the first son & the third son took help of other things to pluck the rose but the second son did all by himself imitating as a blind man. He had counted the steps toward the rose flower & back to the gate. But the first son took help of the fireflies to find the path & rose. The third son took the help of dog & the gardener to help him. The gardener pulled two line of different substance from the rose flower to the gate so that the dog can smell the different scents and help the third son in his task. Thus the Dholakpur got a new minister.
The three sons of the minister had different things in their minds about the test and so when the king and the minister came to ask of their plans they placed it thus; the first son decided to go to an herbalist for help and he was told to go on a tractor in order to return safely with the rose without being pricked by a thorn. The minister and the king disagreed. The second son placed his own thus:he decided to make a basket with which he will secure the rose. the minister and king disapproved. then the youngest simply said he was going to weed the farm during the day then return to the place at night and safely uproot the rose plant without being hurt and the minister together with the king approved of it and so a new minister was found for Dholakpur.
The youngest son as a result of his wisdom and loyalty, became the minister of Dholakpur.
The king also wanted a loyal and honest person for this post as well as clever. The eldest son plucked the roses out in gloves which the thorn didn't hurt him.The middle son said he couldn't find a way to deal out and asked for pardon in front of the king and his respected father. The youngest son saw lights outside the palace and took a very big tub as a reflection and plucked out the roses. The king was extremely pleased with the intelligence of the eldest and youngest son.He was also pleased to see such a honest, loyal and selfless the middle son was. Thus all three became the ministers of Dholakpur.
The first son was caught for having a torch .THE SECOND SON WAS HURT BY A THORN.THE THIRD SON WAS CAUGHT THE HEAD OF THE ROSE AND CUT THE ROSE STEM OF IT AND THUS HE WAS APPOINTED AS THE NEW MINISTER
Chintu thought that the crocodile heard his previous comments about the fork ,shoe and umbrella. So he thought the crocodile would get afraid after seeing his things.
The rose was in his heart so that he could easily win the test .The youngest son was very intelligent.Even we should be intelligent like that.
