The Last Prayers

A missionary in Africa was going from one village to another when he came face to face with a man-eating lion.
Seeing no hope of deliverance, he sank to his knees and began praying.
When he opened his eyes he saw to his astonishment that the lion too was in a praying posture. Certain that he was witnessing a miracle and that he no longer had anything to be afraid of, he said: "I was praying to be rescued, but what are you praying for?"
