Mai and her Friends

'Mai and her Friends' is the story of a cow who wanders away from her home and gets lost. Mai,a young calf and other friends of the cow's, set out to search for her.
The story potrays values like caring and companionship. It was conceptualised and illustrated by Durga Bai, who hails from the Gond tribe of Madhya Pradesh. A gifted artist, she loves to paint folktales and legends.
The book won the runners up award at 'The Katha Chitrakala 2009'.

"After waiting awhile, Mai decided to go out in search of her lost cow. But it was dark and it was pouring. How would she find her way in this weather?"
