Oh great tree,
You are a great help for human beings,
You share your fruits with me,
And you never eat them.
You provide me shade and shelter,
When I play around and am tired.
But children pluck your leaves and flowers,
Which makes you cry.
And man is cutting you down,
because your wood helps in making furniture.
Oh great tree, please forgive us for this,
I will do my best to protect you.
Oh great tree, I don’t want you to be cut down,
Because I like you very much and
I want to always be with you.
