Our mother earth ,

You let us have our birth ,

in this wonderful world .

You let us play ,

in your mud and clay .

You cared for us ,

by giving us food and water ,

and also shelter .

But sorry my mother ,

We killed the animals ,

who are our own brothers and sisters ,

We destroyed the forests ,

to make profit to ourselves .

You lost your beauty ,

because we made you dirty .

And we never repaid back to you ,

Our mother earth who cared for us

when we grew .

Words of Appreciation

VIDYA

Very good poem. Hope this will help one to realize how much damage we are causing to our mother Earth everyday. While walking and enjoying the beauty of a garden, do you ever pluck a leaf or a portion of a leaf? Think and stop that bad habit and save our earth.
