Jhula

THINGS REQUIRED

The inside box of a standard matchbox, chart paper, one refill with the metal end cut off, four matchsticks and glue.

METHOD

1. Join two matchsticks at their tail ends with glue as indicated in the picture. You should have two similar pairs.
2. Take a piece of rectangular chart paper, slightly bigger than the inside box of a matchbox, and fold along the dotted lines as seen in the picture. This is the base of the jhula.
3. Now, attach the heads of the two pairs of matchsticks to the four corners of the base with glue as seen in the picture.
4. Make two hanging loops with the chart paper and stick the ends to the inside box.
5. Pass the refill through the loops and hang the jhula onto the matchsticks as seen in the picture.
6. Your jhula is ready to rock!
