The old lady so lonely
Lives alone in the woods
With no one to speak to
With no one to help.
A beautiful cottage has she
But no one to invite in.
A rose garden in front
But no one to pluck it.

The old lady so lonely
Lives alone in the woods.

She sits by the fire place
With a lot of books.
But no one to read to
No one to hear.
Embroidery she likes
But no one to show to
No one to praise.
She makes cookies
But no one to eat it
No one to ask for more.

All alone in the wood she lives
Wishing for a friend
To invite to tea
Wishing for playful children
To read stories to
But never her wish came true.

The old lady so lonely
Lives alone in the woods.
