RAIN RAIN COME AGAIN

By Abhirami S R (VII B)

In India, Meghalaya gets the highest amount of rainfall. After the rain it is interesting to hear the rhythm made when the raindrops fall down from a leaf. It is also interesting to see the flowers with raindrops on their petals. I love to wet myself in the rain. After the rain my garden will be full of flowers like the stars in the dark of night. It is lovely to see water droplets shining in the sunrays. In fact rain is a favorite theme of the poets. I also love to shake the trees with myself. During monsoon the lakes, rivers, ponds etc will be flooded and overflow. Some city gets flooded after heavy rain. The nights during monsoon season are very cold. During rainy season I love to drink hot coffee. During rainy season it is advisable to eat stored foods. During this season we may get affected with fever, cold, rat fever, malaria, diarrhea, jaundice, typhoid, viral fever, pneumonia etc… I like to make paper boats and play with them. It is interesting to hear the rhythm of the rain. It is difficult to dry the wet cloths during rainy season. People who live in huts and colonies suffer a lot during rainy season. It is very difficult for the fishermen to go for fishing in the sea. In fact Algae would grow on the concrete. My words about rain are endless. I love rain very very much.
