Unhealthy lifestyle of today’s youth

In today’s fast moving and competitive era their inhabit has led to number of diseases. Changing lifestyle and food habits, with lack of physical activity have contributed to a growing trend of obesity among the youth. With increase focus on career and long working hours, irregular meals and that too largely junk which is low in vitamins and minerals and high on fats and carbohydrates from their staple diet. Lack of exercise due to shortage of time. According to health experts there are multiple problems caused by this lifestyle. Junk food hits the person with a sugar high followed by an emotional drop that remains for several hours. It also affects concentration and behaviour. Young people also suffer from deficiency of vitamins, calcium, minerals etc. Moreover serious health problems like sugar problems, diabetes and heart problems are common among the youth.
Youth ought to acknowledge the fact that one thing they can’t take for granted is health. Emphasis on balanced diet and meditation will ensure that they are physically and mentally strong so as to achieve their highest capabilities.
