Rain

It comes in the season

Between summer and winter

Hitting the ground

With its soft drops

It is an invitation for the peacocks

To come out and dance

And for the insects

To come and rome about

Quenching the thirst of

The plants and trees

It brings out the children

To play on the streets

Wetting them from head to toe

Even elders are not spared by it

Obviously it can only be

The rain!!! The rain!!! The rain!!!
