Devil's Tower

If an alien spaceship were to visit earth where do you suppose it would land? In the 1977 Hollywood movie, 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' the spaceship landed on the top of Devil's Tower in the United States.
Devil's Tower is a mass of volcanic rock that rises like a oversized tree stump from the floor of the Belle Fourche Valley in the State of Wyoming. It is 265 m high, 85 m across and looks as if it has been clawed by some giant animal. According to Red Indian folklore this is precisely what happened. The animal that did it was a monstrous bear that was trying to reach seven maidens stranded at the top. Scientists say the mountain is about 50 million years old.
