A pirate was sailing with few of his colleagues. They reached a rocky coast. The pirate saw a bell fastened to a submerged rock. He felt there was something mysterious about it and asked whether any of his colleagues knew the reason. One of them replied that it was placed there to warn the soldier during storms. He thought that it was a joke and thought of removing it. He rowed across in a small boat to the rock. He cut the chain by an axe and threw it in the sea. They started sailing away as the velocity of wind started rising.
Years later, the pirate returned to that same coast. He saw that the sea was covered with fog and the storm was rising. But this time he did not recognize the coast. He did not know the place. Within no time the storm struck the ship and it crashed against a huge rock, As they sank to death, the pirate realized that he had struck against the same rock from which he removed the bell. He wished that he had not removed the bell.
