False scorpions are arachnids that look like scorpions but belong to the spider family. They produce paper thin silk with which they make spherical chambers at the time of moulting and hibernating. Females use these chambers for breeding.
False scorpions are found in all parts of the world except in the polar regions. They can be seen attached to legs of flies, bees, bugs and grasshoppers.
