A treecreeper learns to climb a tree well before it attempts to fly. Its survival depends on climbing a tree. It combs the entire length of the tree for insects which are found on the bark or in crevices on trunks and branches. It starts it search for food at the bottom of a tree and goes round the tree spirally upwards, like a creeper. On reaching the top it flies down to the base of the next tree and starts it search all over again!
