The longest BRIDGE
connecting every part of the country
and

BRIDGE INDIA
Children of India coming from every
part of the country talk about their part of India, and especially
about those places that are of historical importance.
The bridge builders of India,
the young brigade, have started their work. Here are specimens
of the ‘bricks’ that will build our bridge

I am standing in front
of the house where Bapu was born.
My favourite Gandhi quotes:
“...whatever you do
will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do
it.”
And one more:
“As human beings, our
greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the
world….we must become the change we seek in the world.”

I am now visiting Varanasi. I am roaming about in the deer park . This is the
park where Gautama, the Buddha gave his first sermon after he received
enlightenment.
Maybe this is the
place where Buddha was sitting . And maybe this is the spot
where five disciples sat facing Buddha...

I too want to contribute to bridge building. I am so small. I don’t know what
I can do, but my grandma tells me if a little squirrel could join the monkey
brigade in building Ram’s bridge, I too can.
Here is my contribution, the story of the squirrel which became a bridge
builder….

So this is
the Chowdar tank. Here came Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar leading
thousands of men and women who wanted to assert their place
under the sun.
As he
dipped his lotta into the tank to collect drinking water,
Dr. Ambedkar broke one more barrier …
